{"id":1912,"date":"2016-04-08T02:02:45","date_gmt":"2016-04-08T02:02:45","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/localhost:8888\/cite\/?post_type=people&#038;p=1912"},"modified":"2016-05-10T13:57:47","modified_gmt":"2016-05-10T13:57:47","slug":"ellen-meier","status":"publish","type":"people","link":"https:\/\/citejournal.org\/people\/ellen-meier\/","title":{"rendered":"Ellen Meier"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Dr. Ellen Meier is Associate Professor of Practice, Computing, and Education at Teachers College, Columbia University, and director of the Center for Technology and School Change.\u00a0 She also coordinates the Technology Specialist Certification Program for the Department of Math, Science and Technology.\u00a0 Her research is focused on the emerging role of technology in creating engaging learning environments, particularly for urban students.\u00a0 The Center has worked with scores of schools and hundreds of teachers to identify the factors that affect meaningful use of technology in the classroom. The resulting model, \u201c<em>Innovating Instruction,\u201d <\/em>is currently funded by the National Science Foundation.
