
Dr. Lindsay Reiten is an associate professor of Mathematics Education at the University of Northern Colorado. She earned her Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction (Mathematics Education) from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. A former middle and high school mathematics teacher, Dr. Reiten’s work focuses on how to prepare and support mathematics teachers to engage ALL students in high-quality mathematics and the disciplinary practices that doing math requires. One area of her work focuses on preparing and supporting mathematics teachers to teach WITH, as opposed to near, technology; meaning that teachers use technology to engage students in communicating, reflecting, and connecting multiple representations. Dr. Reiten has published in peer-reviewed research journals and conference proceedings.
