
John L. Pecore is a professor of STEM Education at the University of West Florida, where he teaches preservice and in-service science teachers at the undergraduate and graduate levels. His professional background includes work as an environmental scientist and secondary science teacher, along with experience teaching in virtual learning environments. These experiences inform his commitment to experiential science learning and the integration of technology in teaching. His research examines innovative technologies in science classrooms and teacher education, including virtual and mixed-reality simulations and other technology-enhanced instructional practices. He has served as principal investigator on externally funded projects, including National Science Foundation initiatives advancing technology innovation in STEM education and broader undergraduate reform efforts. He remains active in leadership and service within the science education community.
